Symposium June 2019: Perspectives on Human Body Height

On July 5, 2019, an interdisciplinary group of scientists met at the Irchel Campus of the University of Zurich for a symposium (organized by Kaspar Staub). The topic was different perspectives on human body height (programme (PDF, 1017 KB)). Global and local trends, the dynamics of growth, genetic and evolutionary aspects, as well as epidemiological and economic consequences have been addressed. Last but but not least, the future of height research was also discussed. In addition to Zurich-based senior scientists, internationally renowned experts such as Tim Cole, Barry Bogin, Gert Stulp, Zoltan Kutalik, and NCD RisC-member Andrea Rodriguez Martinez were also speaking. The symposium was also featured by UZH News.
