Anthropometrics & 3D Fully Body Scanlab
Together, the Anthropometrics Group & the Clinical Evolutionary Medicine Group of the IEM run a fully equipped Scan Lab consisting of a 3D laser-based photonic full body scanner Anthroscan VITUSbodyscan Bodyscanner, a Seca mBCA 515 bioelectrical impedance analysis device, a Jamar dynamometer to measure grip strength, and classical anthropometric tools (Seca 201 to measure waist circumference, calipers, Seca 216 to measure height). The Scan Lab is currently involved in various IEM research projects and was recently featured in Swiss National TV SRF science programme Einstein. If you are interested to collaborate please get in contact with PD Dr. Kaspar Staub or PD Dr. Dr. Nicole Bender.
